Adding & Removing Domains Extensions Based on Customer Feedback

A while back, we started adding as many domain extensions as we possibly could. This resulted in the total number of domain extensions that DomCop would support to more than 70.

This looked really good on paper. However, it increased the workload on the development team multi-fold as maintaining so many exotic extensions requires considerable effort.

Our mistake was that we did not add the domain extensions based on what our customers wanted. It was based on supporting as many extensions as possible – a vanity metric at best.

We are therefore setting things right and will be adding support for new extensions and removing support for old extensions based on your feedback.

Please fill this very short survey (it only has one question) and mark those domains extensions that are important to you. If you don’t see an extension in the list, please enter it in the “Other” field.
